Mallika Sherawat, the acclaimed actor known for her role in the movie “Murder” opposite Emraan Hashmi, is preparing for a long-awaited return to the silver screen with the upcoming film “Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.” After a period of absence, Mallika has been eagerly seeking a standout project to mark her comeback.
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Mallika expressed her desire to delve into a genre similar to “Murder” once again. She also addressed the rumors of discord between her and Emraan, emphasizing that there are no lingering hard feelings.
“I would absolutely love to be part of a film like ‘Murder’ again. [Mukesh Bhatt] Bhatt sahab, are you listening?” Mallika candidly revealed to India Today. When asked about the prospect of reuniting with Emraan, she swiftly responded, “Absolutely.”
For those unfamiliar with the backstory, reports had surfaced of a fallout between Emraan and Mallika following the success of “Murder.” However, the two recently crossed paths at an event, where they shared an embrace that sparked widespread conversations. Mallika expressed her belief that the rift between them two decades ago was simply a product of youth, remarking, “It was childish. Emraan is a wonderful person. He is a real gem of a person.”
Furthermore, Mallika divulged, “At that time, we were young, egos got in the way, people gave us bad advice, and there was a lot of interference, but I’m glad that’s all in the past. I would love to work with him again.”
She also mentioned that, while she and Emraan did not engage in a specific conversation when they met, she remains hopeful that an enticing script will materialize, paving the way for their collaboration once more. “No, we didn’t talk about that, but hopefully somebody will come up with a good script for us,” she concluded.
