Guru Dutt
Guru Dutt was born on July 9, 1925. Though his life was short, he created some of the most artistically significant films in Indian cinema.
His masterpieces include Pyaasa (1957), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), and Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962). His films explored themes of loneliness, artistic struggle, and social injustice.
Today, Guru Dutt is regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers in world cinema, and his works continue to be studied by film scholars globally.
