Dev Anand was born on September 26, 1923, in Gurdaspur, Punjab. Known for his charming personality, distinctive dialogue delivery, and youthful energy, he became one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars.

He co-founded Navketan Films and delivered numerous hits, including Baazi (1951), Guide (1965), Jewel Thief (1967), and Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971). Guide is widely considered one of the greatest Indian films ever made.

His career spanned over six decades, and he remained active in filmmaking until his final years. He received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in recognition of his contributions to Indian cinema.
